Even though the rumour mill is now pretty busy with stories about the last days of the January transfer window, we now get to see very interesting claims about what happened last summer and may still impact in the next market.
We’re talking about Paris Saint Germain’s interest in Manchester United star Marcus Rashford, which is reported by French journalist Frabrice Hawkins.
He claims that the player had been in contact with the Ligue 1 side last summer, as he could have been a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
It’s said that Rashford was ‘thrilled’ with the opportunity of moving to PSG, and the link between them ‘always exists in view of the next market’.
Marcus Rashford had good moments playing against Paris Saint Germain, as in the four games he had against the French side, he holds a record of three goals and one assist.
The 24-year-old, who has a contract with Manchester United until 2023, with a club option for an extension, is valued by Transfermarkt at €85m.
