Manchester United and Aston Villa have both been named as contenders for Inter Milan’s Stefan de Vrij.
The defender arrived at the San Siro as a free agent in 2018 and now has a year left on his deal. He hasn’t agreed a new contract with the Serie A side so far.
It seems the Nerazzurri may not offer a new deal to the 30-year-old and a move away from the Italian club would therefore be on the cards for him.
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, the Netherlands international ‘could leave’ his current employer this summer.
Galetti took to Twitter to make this claim and further explained that some clubs from the Premier League have ‘shown interest’ in the centre-back.

That’s when both Manchester United and Aston Villa are tagged as the journalist names these two sides as interested parties for De Vrij.
Manchester United keeping tabs on the Dutchman had also been reported by Gazzetta dello Sport three days ago. Aston Villa have now joined Erik ten Hag’s side as De Vrij’s new suitor for the summer window.
