Manchester City are hoping to ‘store’ youngster Sávio at PSV Eindhoven after signing him from Atlético Mineiro.
That’s according to Voetbal International, who say that the two clubs are working on an agreement that would go beyond a simple loan deal.
Sávio has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City over the last few weeks as they continue their efforts to scoop up as much talent around the world as possible.
A deal appears to be close to being completed, but they will need to work out a plan for the young Brazilian as his lack of experience means obtaining a work permit won’t be possible.
It has been suggested he will be sent to one of the other clubs in the City Group network, but Voetbal International say otherwise.
According to their information, Sávio had also caught the eye at PSV but was considered ‘virtually unattainable’ given the other interested parties.
Instead, they are eyeing up a plan to get him via Manchester City, who are happy to ‘rent’ the youngster through a ‘special arrangement’ instead of a simple loan deal.
They say PSV are ‘still discussing the conditions of the deal’ with City so that not only the youngster would benefit but them as well.
They want to ‘earn something’ from the deal for Sávio and are hoping for a ‘greater collaboration’ with the City Group.
They need to find a solution for the ‘many leasing of players’ in future, and PSV would happy to build on the ‘close ties’ they already have to work something out that suits everyone.
