Oleksandr Zinchenko rejected a move to Wolves as the Premier League transfer window was closing, and having been left out of the Manchester City squad for the match against Nuno Espirito Santo’s team at the weekend, he may now be more inclined to accept an exit.
That’s what ABC Sevilla suggests.
In the Spanish newspaper’s Monday edition, it’s claimed Zinchenko’s agents have ‘entered the scene’ at Real Betis and a transfer is a possibility before the window closes in a few days time.
Estadio Deportivo are also covering the potential City to Betis move, and report that Zinchenko is ‘one of the priorities’ at the Spanish club, as they look to get a signing or two in before the market ends.
Betis are also keen on Barcelona’s Rafina, who is expected to cost a minimum of €20m.
It’s claimed Betis have made a ‘formal offer’ to Manchester City of €12m for 80% of Zinchenko’s rights. Given such a deal wouldn’t be allowed in English football, Estadio Deportivo must mean that City would be due 20% of a future transfer fee.
Any permanent move would be after an initial loan, but it’s stated the Premier League champions have rejected the initial approach.
Estadio Deportivo say Zinckenko already has ‘everything in agreement’ with Betis, and back-up claims of the player’s agents being in talks.
