Manchester City fullback Yan Couto is drawing interest from a couple of European sides, according to claims from Brazil.
UOL writes that the 20-year-old has been a ‘target of evaluation’ for Marseille and FC Porto, after standing out during his spell at Portuguese side SC Braga last season.
The story claims that Couto will ‘hardly’ be used by Pep Guardiola this season, so Manchester City should once again find him a new home. They point out that the player was also recently targeted by Brazilian club Flamengo.
There’s still no information whether Marseille and Porto are already in talks to get the move done.
Recent reports from Brazil claimed that Yan Couto wants to leave Manchester City, and had already told Txiki Begiristain about his intention.
It was said that following a couple of loan spells abroad, he’d like to have more continuity at a club where he can fight for titles.
Manchester City spent €6m to sign Couto from Coritiba in the summer of 2020. Since landing him, they first loaned him out to Girona and then to Braga. His contract with the Citizens runs until 2025.
