The Portuguese press continues to follow the last stages of the transfer which will take Pedro Porro from Manchester City to Sporting.
Two newspapers have stories about the situation today. One of them is Record, who say the move should be completed very soon.
The outlet claims that Porro is expected to fly to Lisbon, have his medical and get to know Sporting’s facilities in the next week. He currently on holiday in Spain.
They report the Lions received a positive answer from the player a long time ago, so the club only needed to find an agreement with Manchester City, who accepted a two-year loan deal plus a buying option of €8.5m.
Newspaper O Jogo is another one reporting the deal, and they bring a few more details on how much Sporting will spend for the loan.
It’s said the clubs agreed to split Porro’s salary, and the Lions will part with €400k per season for his wages.
Even though early reports said there would be no fee for the loan deal, O Jogo says Sporting are actually paying Manchester City an amount for the move.
