Manchester City’s Ivan Ilić spent last season on loan at Hellas Verona and his fine form convinced the Serie A side to sign him again this summer.

It was under Ivan Jurić that the 20-year-old managed to shine for the Italian club and the coach left them to take the managerial job at Torino.

Earlier reports indicated the Turin club are also interested in acquiring the Citizens player’s services.

Torino’s interest in the Serbia international saw Hellas Verona ‘accelerate efforts’ to land the midfielder, and there seems to be a resolution in this case.

TuttoMercatoWeb, who have regularly provided updates on Ilić, state in the report the deal is ‘done’.

Within the report, it’s said the Manchester City man is ‘one step away’ from sealing his return to the club. The two clubs have ‘settled the last details’ of the operation, resulting in Pep Guardiola’s side earning an €8m fee in the process.

Therefore, Ilić is ‘very close’ to joining Hellas Verona and ‘only the documents are awaited’ for the transfer to be complete.
