Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is once again being mentioned all over the Chilean media today.
The first reason is because the player could be making his comeback after missing most of the season due to an injury.
With Manchester City posting pictures which show Bravo is back in training, several Chilean outlets say he could be playing against Brighton in the FA Cup at the weekend.
A comeback for the goalkeeper now would be crucial for his preparation for the Copa America, since there’s been some concern he wouldn’t be fit for the tournament.
The Copa America is also the subject of the other claims, made by former national team player Luka Tudor in a TV show. He says that despite all the problems, Claudio Bravo is being taken to the tournament.
“This is information that I have had in recent times,” said Tudor (via RedGol). “I have supported Rueda permanently because I find him a good guy and that is important for the players. He realised that we have to go with the best for the Cup. Vargas, Bravo and Marcelo Díaz… even Jorge Valdivia.”
Bravo, who has 119 appearances for Chile, played his last international match in October 2017, right before criticising the staff. In case the claims are true, there will certainly be big coverage of how the Manchester City goalkeeper has reconciled with the squad and coaches.
