For the past few months, we’ve seen the Catalan media being pretty sure that Eric Garcia would leave Manchester City to join Barcelona at the end of the season.
With the player’s contract with the Premier League side expiring in the summer, it’s been said many times that he’s decided to head back to the Camp Nou as soon as he becomes a free agent.
However, the situation is today taken ‘with caution’, as per ESPN journalist Moi Llorens.
He reports there’s been a new meeting between Barcelona and Eric Garcia, following the talks they held last week.
Still, there’s some ‘caution’ because despite the player’s wish to make the move, he wants to feel valued at his new club.
He points out that parties ‘continue to talk’, as there are still two months left on the defender’s contract with Manchester City.
Eric Garcia has only made ten appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side this season, and that’s said to be one of the main reasons why he’s looking for a new club.
