Bayern Munich had confidence of securing Leroy Sané’s services after this season if reports coming out of Germany were to be believed.
The Manchester City star’s decision to change agents hasn’t gone down well with the Bundesliga winners and earlier today, Bild reported there are doubts about Bayern signing the winger. Therefore, they are looking at other options.
Sky Germany’s reporter Max Bielefeld claims the Bavarian club are yet to hold talks with the 24-year-old’s new representatives.
That isn’t the only frustration the German champions have to face the signing of Sané, as Bielefeld explains those close to Pep Guardiola’s man explain the Etihad club’s wideman is also attracting interest from elsewhere.
Bielefeld adds, “So if Real Madrid or FC Barcelona came around the corner again, he would definitely think about it…”
It’s to be noted that neither of the two Spanish giants have taken steps to sign the City player and Bielefeld further explains Bayern have convinced him with ‘financial means’ to join them.
Sané is edging closer to returning from injury and must regain full fitness.
“…there is still a long way to go and a lot could still happen, but of course they are still interested in him at Bayern and basically there was a promise from him. Whether it stays that way, will show the next few months,” Bielefeld concludes.
