Manchester City have played three matches in all competitions in November and have scored 15 goals in the process, including three against Manchester United in the derby clash at the Etihad.
One of Pep Guardiola’s star players, David Silva, scored three of those 15 goals and he opened the scoring against Jose Mourinho’s side on Sunday.
Raheem Sterling’s cross from the left saw Bernardo Silva not only keep the ball from going out, but he was also successful in finding the Spaniard, who smashed the ball into the net.
The former Valencia star’s display for his side in the weekend clash has seen him make it to Gazzetta dello Sport’s European Team of the Week as the Italian newspaper were impressed.
Silva was rated eight, which is the second highest rating after 8.5 given to Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Alassane Pléa and Donny van de Beek of Ajax.
The Manchester City star has scored seven goals and registered two assists in all competitions, out of which he managed five goals and two assists in his last eight appearances.
Guardiola will be hoping that Silva continues his recent form after the international break.
Memphis Depay, formerly of Manchester United, also made the cut.
