With the City Group getting closer on the purchase of Bahia, the Brazilian media is now coming up with more details about this deal.
Today it’s UOL who brings some information regarding how much Manchester City’s owners about to spend in case the takeover is complete.
The story claims the purchase will cost a total of €104m ‘in three stages’. That’s £8m once the deal is sealed, plus £24m at the end of the year, and other £72m to be equally divided between 2023 and 2024.
That money is being invested in Bahia, and does not include the amounts that the City Group would spend with signings and contracts.
Their president Guilherme Bellintani is currently in England sorting the final details with Manchester City’s owners, and the bid should be presented to the Brazilian side’s council in the coming days.
This week, it’s been reported in Brazil that the City Group’s intention is to make Bahia one of the top six clubs in Brazil, and invest in them until they get to be the second most important side between the partners, staying only behind Manchester City.
