Earlier on Friday, we covered the fact Cristiano Ronaldo hadn’t attended training with Juventus, turning up at their training centre for 40 minutes before leaving.

The news from Corriere dello Sport was that the Portuguese, who is strongly linked with a move to Manchester City, had already cleared out his locker and was simply saying goodbye to his teammates for the final time.

That was from the player’s end, and we now have an update regarding where the clubs are at on Friday, courtesy of Luca Bianchin.

The Gazzetta dello Sport journalist explains Manchester City ‘still haven’t made an offer for Cristiano Ronaldo’, and ‘valuations are underway’ at the Premier League club.

It sounds like Pep Guardiola’s side are trying to work out how much they are willing to pay Juventus for the Portuguese, and Bianchin says the ‘probable scenario’ is ‘an offer and the closing of the deal’.

However, ‘among the alternative hypotheses, what cannot be excluded is a (surprising)  settlement between CR7 and Juve’.

This, from previous reports, is the path Manchester City would prefer, but the fact it’s being considered shows just how badly Juventus want Ronaldo off their books and how strongly he wants to leave this summer.
