Year after year, Barcelona’s academy will always have a wonderkid who Europe’s biggest clubs will be keeping an eye on. The club’s newest starlet seems to be Pablo Moreno, a 15-year-old who has a story about him in today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo.

Called a ‘killer’ by the newspaper, the 15-year-old is the club’s top scorer in his age level, with 16 goals this season, despite missing a few games due to call ups to play for higher academy levels and the Spanish U16 national team.

But his success has obviously been attracting interest from other clubs, and that’s where Mundo Deportivo claims Manchester United and Manchester City would be keen on making a move for him at the end of the season.

Preventing approaches from Manchester City and Manchester United, Barcelona are planning to meet the player’s agent and offer him a new contract to extend his stay at the club.

Since there isn’t much to do when players can’t sign a professional contract yet, what the Catalan side will need is to convince him with a good career plan and promise him a future at the club.

Would Pep Guardiola, Txiki and co sanction a Manchester City move for one of La Masia’s finest? Jose Mourinho certainly wouldn’t have any hesitation about snatching a player for Manchester United.
