A few months ago, we covered several stories from the Chilean press which condemned the national team’s treatment of Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

With the player recovering from a serious achilles injury, the local press claimed that players and staff hadn’t even called him, and didn’t seem worried about his return to play the Copa America.

Now as we all know, Alexis Sanchez recently picked up an injury, and national team doctors soon pointed out a date when he should be fit to play again, having no risk of missing the Copa America.

That’s why outlet La Tercera today brings a story saying Alexis Sanchez got the visit which Claudio Bravo never did. They say the national team doctors travelled to Manchester to evaluate the winger’s situation, something that didn’t happened to Bravo during his months of recovery.

National team manager Reinaldo Rueda has recently claimed they have ‘no information’ regarding Claudio Bravo’s recovery, while the goalkeeper has been training normally with his Manchester City teammates for a while now.

La Tercera says maybe the doctors will take advantage of being in Manchester and remember to visit Bravo as well. For Chile, Alexis Sanchez clearly holds a higher standing that Claudio Bravo, who was the national captain until recently.
