According to a claim in the Italian media, Manchester City are set to table a bid for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.
Yesterday it was claimed Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the 18 year old and are willing to offer €55m.
TMW have reported on the latest developments over the future of De Ligt and they report Manchester City are looking to outbid Premier League rivals Tottenham. It’s claimed City are prepared to offer €60m for the Dutch international.
However, it’s suggested it’s unlikely talks will be straightforward given Mino Raiola’s relationship with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
Raiola is currently representing De Ligt.
Juventus are also said to be interested in the Ajax youngster, but it’s unlikely they can compete financially with Manchester City or Tottenham.
Despite these reports in Italy there is no mention of these bids in the Dutch media.
The young defender has made seven appearances for the Netherlands and played in this week’s game against Italy.
