Amad Diallo Traoré came through the ranks of Atalanta’s youth setup before making his first team debut for the Serie A side against Udinese last month.

The 17-year-old impressed for the Italian club’s youth team last season, managing 18 goals and 13 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.

Calciomercato claims Juve are ready to get serious for the winger, but the report adds Manchester City have joined the transfer race in recent weeks.

The Premier League winners will ‘challenge’ the Old Lady for the teenager’s services.

The website adds Traoré’s success in the Italian youth championship and Supercoppa Primavera, coupled with his performances against City in two UEFA Youth League matches (scored and assisted in a 3-1 away win), have ‘enchanted the Citizen’s observers.’

With City observers impressed with Traoré, Calciomercato adds it’s ‘one more motivation for Juve’, but they also state Atalanta have themselves have been warned about the ‘strong interest’. It isn’t clear whether it’s from Pep Guardiola’s side or Juventus.

With Juve chief Fabio Paratici already making contact with Atalanta, it remains to be seen whether or not Manchester City will step up their efforts for Traoré.
