Manchester City are interested in signing Atlético Madrid’s Nahuel Molina in the summer, according to Fichajes.net.

The Argentina international has ‘undergone an incredible change’ since he returned from the World Cup and his fine form has not gone unnoticed.

Manchester City have been closely following the right-back in action for the La Liga side. Pep Guardiola wants his side to bolster his side’s defence in the summer and sees the 25-year-old as an ‘ideal option’ to provide competition for the right-back position.

The World Cup winner is valued at €23m but Los Rojiblancos wouldn’t be willing to let him leave for an amount less than €60m. Atlético want ‘good income’ if they decide to cash in from his sale in the next window.

Manchester City would have ‘no problem to pay’ what Atlético are demanding for Molina. His possible arrival at the Etihad would mean a ‘substantial improvement’ to their right-back position next season.

For now, Guardiola’s side have not made a bid and will remain attentive to his displays in the remaining fixtures of this season. If they were to go ahead with the deal, Fichajes.net state Molina could become the ‘next great signing’ of Manchester City.
