Earlier today, TuttoMercatoWeb reported that Pep Guardiola is ‘trying to bring’ Robin Gosens to Manchester City in the next market.
It was also explained the Citizens are ready to listen to offers for Oleksandr Zinchenko and replace him with the 26-year-old.
Gosens has 17 league goals to his name since the start of the last season and according to Calciomercato, no player in the same position has scored more goals in the top five leagues across Europe.
Having arrived at the Serie A side from Heracles Almelo in 2017 for €2m, the Germany international is now valued at €30m.
Inter Milan had the idea of signing the left-back last summer, but their formula to take Gian Piero Gasperini’s star [loan with option to buy] didn’t please Atalanta.
Juventus also moved to sign the player in the winter market, but were left without success in their negotiations. Gosens remains a vital part of the club, which is why his employer weren’t interested to give him midway through the season.
The German defender is sought after by clubs in Italy and England, and Calciomercato explain the Old Lady will try again, as they want to ‘gain ground’ over their competitors.
Guardiola’s side are named as the only competitor to Juve and the website adds City are now in the ‘front row’ to sign Gosens in the next market, with the rest playing catch up as things stand.
