The race for the signing of Dusan Vlahovic is detailed today by newspaper La Repubblica, who relayed by Firenze Viola, shows how things stand for the 21-year-old’s future.

The striker’s contract with Fiorentina expires in 2023 and since he’s not signing a new deal, there’s an urge at the club to sell him next year, even if for less than he’s worth.

However, Manchester City and other clubs who are interested in his transfer should know he still won’t get much cheaper.

That’s because his agent, Darko Ristic, now takes advantage of the situation by requesting big commissions in the deal, now demanding €10m to whoever wants the Serbian star.

Regarding Manchester City’s interest, it’s claimed that Pep Guardiola considers Vlahovic to be the ‘perfect striker’ for the present and future of the squad, and they are now in the ‘front row’ to sign him.

The club are now said to be ‘pushing’ for the signing, even though there are no details on offers or negotiations with Fiorentina.

The Serbian has 17 goals and two assists this season, and is also wanted by the likes of Arsenal, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur.
