Fenerbahce are chasing Manchester City right back Bacary Sagna, claim Takvim. The Turkish club currently have only one right back in their squad after Gregory van der Wiel was sent to the reserves by Dick Advocaat.
Advocaat believes winger Olexander Karavaiev can also play in this position, but the Dutchman told has the Fenerbahçe board signing an experienced right back has to be a priority for the next season.
Manchester City defender Sagna has emerged as a candidate with claims Fenerbahçe are monitoring the Frenchman’s situation closely. It’s been revealed the Turkish giants are set to make an offer to Sagna for once his Manchester City contract expires in the summer.
Takvim say Fenerbahçe are set to offer Sagna a three-year contract on a salary of €2.3m per year. Sagna is reportedly keen on playing for Fenerbahçe, but he’s told their club officials to wait until the end of the season.
The French international has this season been rotated by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, and he will likely be looking for a club who give him more playing time.
