Three days ago, we covered a report from Catalan newspaper Sport, who claimed that Manchester City are set to announce the signing of Óscar Tarensi from Espanyol.

He can play as a fullback or a winger and turned 16 last month. The teenager has been playing for the Spanish club’s Juvenil B team and has been on the radar of the Premier League outfit.

Friday’s edition of La Grada brings the latest development about the youngster’s move to England.

The two clubs have now closed the agreement, according to Onda Cero and La Grada, but the transfer is pending because they have to exchange the documents.

Tarensi has already agreed personal terms with the Etihad outfit, and did so even before the two clubs could find an agreement.

It is claimed that losing Tarensi is a loss for the Spanish club sporting wise, but economically it could be a good deal for them.

At Manchester City, he will join the English club’s academy and La Grada claims he can play in any position on the left.
