On Monday morning, Portuguese outlet O Jogo was the first to report Felix Correia’s move from Sporting to Manchester City.

They had a story on their website showing the player at the Lisbon airport, where he took a flight to conclude his deal with Pep Guardiola’s side.

Now O Jogo brings a bigger story in their paper edition on Tuesday, showing a few more details about the 18-year-old’s move.

They say Juventus, Barcelona and Benfica were all in for the youngster, and Sporting also had the wish to renew his contract, but Manchester City’s offer was really convincing.

Sporting are not that mad with the transfer, because despite losing a youngster, they’re making €7m with the sale. That’s the biggest amount they’ve ever got for a player who’s never made an official appearance for the club.

O Jogo claims that Correia is initially joining Manchester City’s academy levels, always aiming for a place in the first team squad. He’s expected to sign a five-year contract and perhaps be presented by the Premier League champions today.
