It’s been a while since the Italian media have spoken about the Premier League’s interest in Genoa’s Pietro Pellegri, but Juventus’ desire to get a deal done for the 16-year-old has brought it back up.

Gazzetta dello Sport are the ones mentioning Manchester City and Arsenal being interested in the young striker, and there’s some good news for Pep Guardiola and Arsène Wenger.

Last we heard, back on October 6th, Genoa’s demands for Pellegri were around €45m, which was quite frankly ridiculous for a forward who had only played a handful of games.

Well, it seems the Serie A outfit have softened their stance a little bit, with Gazzetta informing all interested the Italian side want around €30m + bonuses for their starlet.

In even better news, they’re willing to negotiate, as Manchester City, Arsenal, Juventus and co. would be able to open negotiations at around €25m, and Genoa will see where the talks go from there on in.

Any transfer would have to take place in the summer, however, as there’s little interest in seeing Pellegri leave midway through the season.

Frankly, despite the interest from the Premier League, this has Juventus/Roma written all over it.

He’s young, Italian and already playing in Serie A. Why would he leave that to play in Premier League2?
