Tuesday September 18th marks the return of the Champions League, and one of the two games kicking it all off will be Inter against Tottenham.
The Serie A are making their grand return to elite European football, last participating in the competition in 2012, and they’ll want to get off to a good start against Mauricio Pochettino’s men to show the world they still have it.
However, in order to do this, they will have to keep Harry Kane in check, even if a player at Inter feels one man is more dangerous than the England international.
Speaking ahead of the game, Matias Vecino said, relayed by Gazzetta dello Sport: “Their most decisive player? I’d say Eriksen, because he makes the whole team play”.
The 27-year-old is the main reason why Inter are back in the Champions League, scoring the goal that beat Lazio in the final game of last season to help Inter leapfrog Simone Inzaghi’s side in the table.
However, it remains to be seen if the midfielder will start the game against Tottenham, left on the bench against Parma at the weekend, a game his side managed to lose 1-0 despite being at home.
