Even though the summer rumours regarding Paris Saint Germain’s pursuit for Everton star Richarlison haven’t become something concrete, we already see stories saying the plan is on for next year.
Today it’s outlet Fichajes who say the Brazilian continues to be the ‘main object of desire’ for the French side.
It’s reported PSG planned to sign Richarlison as a replacement for Kylian Mbappé in the summer, and since the Frenchman ended up staying, that attempt had to be postponed.
Now with more worry that Mbappé would leave at the end of his contract next year, the Everton player continues to be the main alternative.
It’s said Richarlison is a ‘personal request’ from Neymar, who’d like to have ‘one of his big friends’ by his side at the club. Fichajes highlights that the Toffees’ star is in a ‘key time’ of his career, ready to make the jump to a bigger challenge.
Due to the rivalry between Brazil and Argentina, Richarlison ended up getting involved in controversies with Paris Saint Germain players Leandro Pares and Angel Di Maria this summer.
The Everton player, however, tried to calm things down when interviewed by Olé last month. He claimed it’s all part of the banter between the two countries, saying he doesn’t have any issues with players from the French side.
With PSG now linked to Richarlison for a while, perhaps he’s making sure he’d have no issues at the Ligue 1 side.
