Lyon have a few reasons to worry during their preparation for their Europa League clash against West Ham United this week, according to claims from the French media.
As written by RMC Sport, the Ligue 1 side couldn’t count on several players in their training sessions on Monday, and their participation in the second leg of the quarter-finals is now in doubt.
Anthony Lopes, Houssem Aouar and even Tanguy Ndombele, who scored in London last week, all spent the morning ‘in care’. It’s still ‘unclear’ whether they’ll be able to face West Ham, as they all got injured during the weekend’s league match.
Thiago Mendes, who had an issue in the first leg, is still in treatment as well. RMC quotes a source who said “there are far too many uncertainties to know if they can hold their place”, and that shall depend on their evolution in the coming days.
West Ham and Lyon had a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium last week, and now play the second leg on Thursday evening.
