Championship side Luton Town should be facing a Brazilian club during the World Cup break.

That’s Botafogo, who are having a little England tour in the coming weeks and are still getting to know their opponents.

The Rio De Janeiro side are owned by John Textor, who’s a share owner at Crystal Palace, and the friendly against the London side is the only one confirmed so far, as they’ll play at the Selhurst Park on the 3rd of December.

Now according to O Globo, Botafogo should also play Luton Town. It’s not yet clear where the match will take place, and the date is initially set for the 30th of November.

The Brazilian season has just ended, with most clubs going on holiday, but that will be different for the black and white side.

Players are still working at their training centre, and despite a few days off until the weekend, they’ll soon start preparing for the friendlies. Since those matches could work as a showcase for many players, they’re set to take them very seriously.

Luton Town last played against Rotherham in the Championship last weekend, and their first official game back will be on the 10th of December, as they face Middlesbrough.
