Gazzetta dello Sport sound reasonably confident on behalf of Inter Milan in the chase to sign Mousa Dembele.

With Belgium qualifying for the World Cup semi-finals it could make a move to China difficult.

That’s because the Chinese transfer window closes next Friday and Dembele will still be in Russia regardless of whether Belgium beat France or not.

The Tottenham player will either be planning for Saturday’s third place play-off or Sunday’s World Cup final.

As long as there’s no ‘indecent offers’ from China and a deal is done before then, Inter won’t have that Far East competition and Gazzetta believe that’s a big factor in a potential move.

The Inter ‘lunge’ for Dembele could come quickly, according to the claims, but surely Gazzetta don’t mean before next weekend’s matches.

Tottenham’s midfielder has been identified as a ‘key man’ for Inter’s business this summer, but they haven’t wanted to financially compete against competition from China.
