Arsenal fans have undoubtely been pretty happy with the form that Lucas Torreira has shown at the club in such a short time.

After arriving from Sampdoria on a €30m deal last summer, the 22-year-old was quick earning a place in the team and has been excellent in recoverying balls in midfield.

After another great performance against Liverpool at the weekend, Torreira spoke to Brazilian TV channel RedeTV about the game, and has shown how happy he is in London.

Speaking in Spanish, Torreira told reporter Reanto Senise about the preparations to be playing in such a high level and also mentioned the help from squad and staff to achieve that.

Well, I’ve been doing my best, with the help of my teammates, with all the technical staff as well, which gave me a lot of confidence.

“And today I feel, sincerely, very happy in the team. And happy because we’re doing great things.”

Asked about the song that Arsenal fans have made for him, which goes ‘he comes from Uruguayhe’s only fivefoot high’, Torreira couldn’t hide his smile. “Yes, yes. Very beautiful. I am very happy every time they sing and I am very proud of it all.”
