Lucas Moura will be wearing the number 27 shirt at Tottenham, according to the reliable Paris United.
Whilst the Brazilian’s move to Spurs hasn’t yet been confirmed by the club’s involved, media in Brazil and France are treating it as done.
Lucas travelled to England this week to have a medical with Tottenham, after agreeing personal terms with the club last week. It was explained in Brazil that a chat with Mauricio Pochettino was enough to convince Lucas that Tottenham is the club for him, and he’ll arrive on a permanent deal.
PSG had wanted a fee as high as €40m for the player, but the majority of reports suggest Tottenham are getting their man for around €25m, and the French club have had to roll with it due to their FFP pressures.
Lucas was a popular figure at PSG, at least among his Brazilian teammates, with both Neymar and Marquinhos coming out to speak fondly about the player recently.
This one probably could have been announced by now but it’s likely Tottenham are holding back some late deadline day drama, and taking their time confirming the deal is actually over the line.
