Mundo Deportivo have published an article on Wednesday about Jose Mourinho’s dream signing for Manchester United: Raphael Varane.

The French defender is reaching a career height having won the World Cup with France and seemingly leaving his fitness problems behind him. Making 41 appearances last season, and then 7 more in Russia for France, the defender also picked up some friendly matches along the way.

Despite Mourinho seeing the player as his dream signing, Mundo Deportivo seem to take great delight in saying it’s an impossible one. The newspaper states Varane is ‘almost unattainable’ which doesn’t quite sound the same as ‘impossible’, but never mind.

Manchester United are said to know that something ‘unexpected’ must happen this summer if Varane is to end up at Old Trafford.

Then after throwing a little hope, Mundo Deportivo state Mourinho knows Varane is ‘untouchable’ at Real Madrid and that the transfer dream ‘has a lot of fantasy and little reality’.

Other than start a Varane to Manchester United rumour, we’re not sure what Mundo are up to here.
