Pierre-Michel Lasogga to Leeds United continues to grow as a story.

Starting in the local Hamburg media on Thursday, Lasogga to Leeds United was then covered in the English media, before being picked up again and spreading in Germany.

Bild covered it online on Thursday, and it may be significant that Lasogga to Leeds United has made it to their Friday newspaper. It’s fair to say not all of Bild’s transfer rumours make it into actual print, with many falling away and presumably not considered worthy.

The German newspaper ask whether Hamburg have found a ‘customer’ actually making an effort to sign Lasogga, and answer their own question with ‘looks like it’. There’s some confidence at Bild that this is real, but Europe’s biggest selling tabloid are very excitable.

Leeds United’s plan is that Lasogga would join on loan and help with promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.

For Hamburg, it would provide an opportunity to sell the player next summer for a reasonable fee, and for the player it would give him a shot at the big time, even if it is a gamble.

Lasogga’s girlfriend expecting a baby in September puts a doubt on the potential transfer, say Bild, with the ‘Wechsel-Stress’/’Change-Stress’ perhaps not welcome at this moment in time.
