Cast your mind back over the last year, and you’ll know that there have been plenty of rumours linking Milot Rashica to Aston Villa.
Back in the summer, it appeared that Villa were keen on the Werder Bremen forward, with Dean Smith wanting to improve his attacking output.
At one point, it appeared a deal was wrapped up before things all went a little awry, and Aston Villa ended up signing Bertrand Traore instead.
That did not bring an end to the rumours, though, with numerous rumours in the build-up to the January transfer window suggesting they could make a move.
There’s been little on the potential transfer since then, but BILD provide a look at Rashica’s situation and say that after hitting his ‘desired shape’ Rashica is starting to look like the player he once was.
The only thing missing is goals, which would help both the player and his club long-term as they both seek a transfer.
The newspaper explains that the Kosovo international ‘should finally be sold’ this summer, and if he manages to rack up the goals, he would ‘finally recommend himself’ to other clubs and could bring his club a ‘higher fee’.
Now, there’s no mention of Aston Villa in this report or anything of that nature, but it stands to reason that they’ll be linked again in the near future.
They’ve been keen on his for the best part of the last year, and if the goals come, as he and his club are hoping they will, expect those links to Villa to re-emerge.
