Earlier today, Sport Recife made a surprising announcement, which stated saying Pedro Lima is being sold to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Since it was Chelsea who’d been said to be in advanced talks with the Brazilian club, it was quite a shock to see Wolves signing the youngster all of a sudden.

Now with many people asking the same question, Jornal de Pernambuco journalist João Victor Amorim comes up with some information.

He claims that Sport Recife and Wolves managed to find a deal for more than what Chelsea had been offering.

It’s said the clubs started talking in the past week, as soon as the Brazilian side felt like the Blues didn’t want to match their requests for add-ons.

Even though Sport Recife have been playing in the second division, Pedro Lima is highly rated and has been part of the national team’s youth ranks.

What remains to be seen is if he’ll manage to get a work permit for the Premier League, as he doesn’t have any appearances in the first division yet.
