Fanatik claim West Ham United’s Diafra Sakho is leading the race to become the next Besiktas striker.

The Turkish newspaper claim talks have started with West Ham, and the Premier League side are demanding €10m from Besiktas for the Senegalese striker.

Besiktas believe this valuation of the player is high, and the club’s president Fikret Orman is now looking to convince West Ham over a loan deal.

The Turkish champions are looking for a successor to Cenk Tosun after his recent move to Everton, and Sakho is an option.

However, if Sakho’s proposed move to Istanbul doesn’t materialise Besiktas have back up options, with one of those being West Ham’s Javier Hernandez.

The Mexico international has failed to make an impact since arriving at West Ham last summer from Bayer Leverkusen, and Besiktas could give him the opportunity of a fresh start.

It’s also been reported the Turkish side are interested in Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck and Swansea City’s Wifried Bony, Leicester City’s Islam Slimani and a whole collection of other strikers.
