Barcelona are looking to sign a striker this summer to support Luis Suarez, Leo Messi and Neymar.
So far, Barcelona have been linked to a few strikers in Europe but nothing has materialised yet. Reports in Spain now suggest they have turned their attention towards the South American transfer market.
Apparently, Barcelona are interested in the services of Gremio striker Luan, but they’re not the only ones.
According to Spanish daily Sport, Liverpool are also interested in the Brazilian striker, but Gremio refused to negotiate with the Premier League giants.
Gremio, however, are prepared to open negotiations with Barcelona, and the player could cost €22m.
Barcelona’s director Robert Fernandez is reportedly in contact with Luan’s representatives, and the player has also spoken to Neymar.
Frankly, it seems Sport have quite casually mentioned Liverpool, and we really doubt Liverpool had any intentions of signing the Brazilian striker.
