According to Aksam, Liverpool’s Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic has informed the Premier League side he wants to join Galatasaray.
The Turkish newspaper say the 21 year old has told Liverpool that he wants to go join the Turkish side on loan, but the Merseyside club would prefer him to remain in England.
Grujic is expected to leave Liverpool in the next transfer window after playing 59 minutes of Premier League football since joining Liverpool.
Aksam claim Galatasaray are looking for a loan deal for the Serbian, and they are prepared to wait for Liverpool to break their stance on the player leaving England.
Galatasaray officials reportedly see Grujic as an alternative for Fernando and Badou Ndiaye in the midfield. Aksam also claim everything will became clear once the transfer window opens in the new year.
The former Red Star Belgrade player has started only one game for Liverpool this season, which came in the EFL Cup in September.
