Anderlecht’s Jérémy Doku has three goals and four assists in the league this season.
Het Nieuwsblad states that there’s ‘a lot of interest’ in the 17-year-old as many clubs from the Premier League and the Bundesliga are looking at him. His idea is to continue with the Jupiler Pro League side until the end of next season.
Although the Belgian newspaper states many clubs are monitoring the youngster, only Liverpool get a mention.
It’s claimed that clubs like Liverpool have been following ‘him for a while’ and the Reds will ‘undoubtedly’ be at the forward’s doorstep in the summer of 2021.
According to Transfermarkt, the teenager’s current valuation is around €6m, but Anderlecht are aiming for €20m from his future sale.
Doku committed his future to Anderlecht by signing a new contract on February 21st and his current deal lasts until 2022.
Prior to signing an extension, Doku’s parents revealed the player was close to joining Liverpool. Jürgen Klopp also tried to convince him to join the Merseyside club after suggesting that he has the potential to be Sadio Mané’s successor at Anfield.
However, Doku snubbed the Reds to extend his stay at Anderlecht and Het Nieuwsblad now claims that Liverpool are still monitoring him.
