For the past week or so, reports emerging in Poland have talked about Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester City interest in Pogoń Szczecin star Kacper Kozłowski.
Liverpool have become the latest club to join the race to sign the 18-year-old. According to Super Express, the Reds ‘want to buy’ the midfielder in the winter market.
On December 8th, Pogoń Szczecin president Jarosław Mroczek revealed there are 20 clubs chasing the Poland international. He didn’t reveal the details of those clubs.
Super Express now state Mroczek ‘wasn’t exaggerating’ since they have found out the Merseyside club are one of those sides.
Brighton have made an offer of £8m to secure the player’s services. Jürgen Klopp’s side are ‘proposing £2m more than’ the Seagulls for the player.
In other words, Liverpool are ‘willing to pay’ £10m for Kozłowski and the Anfield club’s offer ‘outweighs’ that of Graham Potter’s side.
Liverpool would agree to let the Pole continue at Pogoń Szczecin on loan until the end of this season. In the event there is a sale, Mroczek and the club manager, Kosta Runjaić, could favour having Kozłowski for the second half of this campaign.
