According to a claim in the German media, Bayer Leverkusen will not be signing Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton.
The Liverpool youngster has recently been linked with a move to the Bundesliga champions, but the German side have now made the decision they don’t need to add to their midfield before tomorrow’s window.
Florian Plettenberg has reported on the latest developments regarding Bayer Leverkusen’s pursuit of Morton, and he says the 21-year-old will not be heading to the Bundesliga in this window.
The German journalist reports the two clubs have been in concrete transfer talks over Morton, but a decision has now been made that the Liverpool man will be remain at Anfield. There are no reports why an agreement couldn’t be reached or which club pulled out of the deal.
Morton spent last season on loan at Hull City where he made 41 appearances, scoring three goals. The young midfielder hasn’t played for Liverpool since the 2021/22 season, but last year signed a contract extension with the Premier League club.
