On December 1st, Calciomercato.it reported Liverpool making a move for Juventus’ Kenan Yıldız cannot be ruled out. It was also said the Reds sporting director, Jörg Schmadtke, has been closely following the 18-year-old and has recommended him to Jürgen Klopp.
Four days later, Gazzetta dello Sport stated the Merseyside club have the attacking midfielder on their ‘shopping list’.
A fresh report from Calciomercato.it states Yıldız has ended up on Liverpool’s radar and they are ‘closely evaluating’ his growth.
The Serie A side signed him from Bayern Munich in 2022 and gave him an opportunity in the first team earlier this season.
Juve have renewed their trust in the Liverpool target, by giving him opportunities in the first team, renewing the contract until 2027 and even rejecting loan proposals in the last window.
Despite all this, the Turin club could still lose the Turkey international. The report says the pressure from the Premier League, where Liverpool are in the mix, ‘cannot be overlooked at all’ by Juve.
Journalist Paolo Bargiggia told TV Play the conditions needed to take him away from the Old Lady.
“Juve would sell Yıldız in the event of a right offer. The valuation is €40m,” he said.
