On July 9th, Calciomercato reported Liverpool have ‘requested information in recent days’ about Federico Chiesa.
The Juventus star’s fine displays in Italy’s Euro 2020 success have caught the attention of the Reds and Bayern Munich, as per another report from Calciomercato.
It’s claimed the two sides have knocked on the Turin club’s door for the 23-year-old.
If there’s a window of opportunity to sign the winger, ‘half of the Premier League’ would be chasing the ex-Fiorentina man, with the Merseyside club leading the ‘big group’. Bayern have tried to open the door, but without success.
Last summer, Juve took the Italy international from Fiorentina on a two-year paid loan deal that included a mandatory purchase option.
If the Serie A side were to sell the attacker, they should first make his deal permanent. This, however, isn’t scheduled for 2021 and that would only make any potential sale even more complicated this summer.
Despite all this, Liverpool and Bayern have been told ‘it is useless’ to knock on Juve’s door for Chiesa because ‘many millions will not be enough’ to sign the wideman.
