In an Anderson Talisca week, the Portuguese press couldn’t forget any of the English clubs who the midfielder has been linked to. So Liverpool haven’t been left out by O Jogo.

As the newspaper reports the player’s situation at Besiktas, mostly quoting the Turkish press, they take the chance to claim the likes of Liverpool and Monaco are also interested in him.

And why is that? Because Benfica are currently pressing Besiktas to pay the fee of just over €20m which will keep him in Turkey permanently. He’s currently on loan, but there’s a buying option included.

Besiktas are currently negotiations to pay less, and the Eagles are in turn trying to claim half of Europe are interested.

Coincidentally, both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United are being heavily linked to the player this week, with front page news claiming the player is ‘reserved’ by the Red Devils.

It really looks like a big circus for Besiktas to accept the negotiations, and the funny thing is that they don’t look worried by this pressure.

Liverpool have indeed been linked to the Brazilian midfielder last summer, and considering his good season in Turkey, it wouldn’t be strange if the Anfield side makes a bid for him at the end of the season.

But this rumour being recalled at this stage of negotiations clearly has a purpose.
