Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne is facing a difficult time with the Serie A club after the 25-year-old was booed by Napoli fans during their 3-2 defeat against Besiktas for missing a penalty.

The Italian forward was seen in tears on the bench, and that has led the media to believe he might be willing to consider his future.

Italian media outlet Rai Sport (via Calcio News 24) reported Insigne’s agent, Antonio Ottaiano, has already made contact with Liverpool, and the Premier League side are said to be willing to pay €30m for his services.

Another Italian website Quotidiano add that Napoli are also keen on selling Insigne.

It’s reported Liverpool scouts have watched the Napoli forward closely on the request of Jurgen Klopp.

Napoli have had difficulties in renewing the contract of Insigne, and that could work in Liverpool’s favour.

Quotidiano say there is an opening of dialogue between Liverpool and Insigne, and it remains to be seen if the Merseyside club are genuinely keen on him.
