Liverpool haven’t lost the race to sign Mo Dahoud just yet, report German newspaper Bild in their Thursday edition. Backing up other German claims that Dahoud is close to plumping for a move from Borussia Monchengladbach to Borussia Dortmund, Bild say Jurgen Klopp is meddling in the business and trying to divert the player to Liverpool.

Dahoud has a buyout clause this summer at not so much over €10m, but there are clauses to be added on top of that. According to Bild, Liverpool have simply sidestepped the clause situation and put a €25m offer on the table.

It’s also claimed Dahoud has been offered a ‘bounty’ of €7.5m, which it would be assumed is wages per year.

Bild don’t make it absolutely clear what the make up of the offer is, or whether they’re counting the wages in that. However, that doesn’t look to be the case.

Dahoud Liverpool BildGladbach haven’t given up hope of keeping the player, but Bild believe that hope is futile. The real battle is between Dortmund and Liverpool.

Thomas Tuchel is said to have already met the player and explained his plans, but Bild won’t rule Liverpool out, especially with the big alleged offer.

Tuchel and Klopp battling it out for a player is a great story for the German media, but these Bild claims seem more concrete than simply dreaming up a scenario to manufacture a transfer war.
