According to a claim in the Dutch media, Liverpool sent a scout to the game between Netherlands U19s and Hungary U19s last Saturday.

Liverpool have linked with Fortuna Sittard defender Perr Schuurs in recent months, with reports they travelled to the Netherlands to get a further lowdown on the 17 year old.

ELF Voetbal have reported Liverpool were present at the game last weekend, and that the purpose of the trip was to watch Schurrs. The youngster played the full 90 minutes, with the Netherlands defeating Hungary 2-0.

Earlier this year Voetbal International reported Schurrs travelled to England in May to have a trial with Liverpool, and spent a few days in the city.

It seems Liverpool are still monitoring the player, but there are no suggestions the Merseyside club will come in with an offer for the central defender.

Schurrs is already a regular with Fortuna Sittard, and he’s made 24 league appearances for the club since making his debut for the first team last year.
