Back in February, we covered claims from Italy that Liverpool’s interest in Federico Chiesa hasn’t ‘waned’ after they asked about the Juventus player last summer.

On April 21st, Tuttosport reported the Merseyside club could look at the forward again in the summer window.

The Italy international continues to be on Liverpool’s transfer agenda, according to Tutto Juve.

Chiesa can operate across several attacking positions and that makes him an ‘interesting option’, likely for incoming manager Arne Slot.

Last midweek, Liverpool officials were in Rome to watch him live in action in the Coppa Italia final win over Atalanta, where he was on the pitch for 69 minutes.

The report says this shows the Premier League side are keen on bolstering their squad by adding the former Fiorentina man to their squad for next season.

It’s further claimed the Anfield club have ‘stepped up their interest’ in the Juve attacker, who has a deal until 2025. Earlier claims indicated the Serie A side have been working on extending his contract but haven’t been successful yet.

Tutto Juve now state the Old Lady, who plan to keep Chiesa, could consider selling him in the next window if there’s an offer of around €60m.

Liverpool may not be willing to offer €60m for a player who has a year left on his contract. It could also be a tactic from Cheisa’s camp to use the Reds to put pressure on Juventus to land an improved deal.
