Serbian winger Lazar Markovic spent the last season on loan at Turkish club Fenerbahce, and reports suggest Liverpool, and specifically Jurgen Klopp are looking to offload him again this summer.
It’s not certain yet if Liverpool want to send him out on loan or permanently, but the 22-year-old is facing an uncertain future at Anfield.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday, Fiorentina are interested in the services of Markovic.
Gazzetta say Markovic is the first name on Fiorentina’s wishlist, and the player could sign on loan, with a mandatory option to buy.
Liverpool don’t play in any European competition next season, and have plenty of attacking options. Markovic is likely to find it very difficult to get too many chances should he stay at Anfield.
He failed to score a single league goal during his loan spell at Fenerbahce, and spent most of the time in the treatment room.
Markovic has another three years left on his contract at Liverpool, and it remains to be seen should they be interested in offloading him permanently.
