Marca are becoming increasingly confident about the prospect of Eduardo Camavinga moving to Real Madrid.
Over the weekend the Spanish newspaper reported Zinedine Zidane has requested the 17 year old’s signing, with the Rennes midfielder seen as the latest in a long tine of potential alternatives to Paul Pogba.
Monday’s edition of Marca claims Camavinga prefers signing for Real Madrid over other options he has available. It’s claimed Barcelona have pulled out of the race, whilst Liverpool, PSG and Borussia Dortmund ‘stalk’ the youngster.
Barcelona’s finances are thought to be especially delicate during the current Covid-19 crisis, whereas Real Madrid are in better financial health. It’s assumed Camavinga would be a big money signing, and therefore Barca are edged out of the picture without big incoming transfer fees.
There’s not a great deal said about the interest from Jurgen Klopp’s side, although it’s worth pointing out Liverpool are increasingly dragged into big European transfer stories, given their growing status and power in recent years.
Whether the Reds would want to spend big money on the Rennes player, who may not be ready for regular Premier League football, could be doubtful.
